Data Deletion Policy

How to request deletion of your data and the related rights.

A metal bin in which digital data fades away

1. Submitting requests and verification

A user or the customer’s authorized representative may submit a request to delete data or disconnect external integrations via the dedicated legal and privacy email address: legal@thinktechsa.com, or through the dedicated technical tools within the account, where available. The Establishment verifies the identity and capacity of the requester by appropriate means without asking for passwords, and provides a reference number for following up on the request.

2. Fulfilment and timeframes

  1. General timeframe: The Establishment handles the request and complies with the statutory period set for data subjects’ rights, which is (30) calendar days, with the possibility of extending it by a further (30) days in accordance with the statutory conditions and notifications.
  2. Integration-specific timeframes (such as the YouTube API): The Establishment complies with the shorter timeframes imposed by the policies of external platforms for data integration, including the timeframe set in that regard (such as the YouTube API rules relating to requests to delete data or revoke permission within a period not exceeding 7 calendar days).

3. Scope of deletion and statutory limits

Deletion covers all data under the Establishment’s control and processing. Records and data that the law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia requires to be retained (such as tax and financial data and transaction records, for periods specified by law) are excluded from immediate deletion. Encrypted backup copies are removed according to the approved destruction cycle and are blocked from operational use.

4. Disconnecting from external platforms

Permissions can be revoked, access tokens invalidated and data received through the integration removed, in accordance with the platform’s policy. Disconnecting from ThinkTech does not delete the original content held by an external platform, and the user may need to exercise their rights directly with that platform.
